The Thomastown Affair & Cuala GAA Club
April 1, 2006 on 11:15 am | In Amenities, Community, Local, News, Planning | No CommentsThe work of Cuala GAA Club in promoting sport and sporting facilities in the area is being frustrated by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. I have tabled a motion calling on the Council to show greater support for the work of Cuala. The Council’s stance in relation to the project at Thomastown is a test case of the Council’s policy towards Cuala and its support for the promotion of GAA in the area. Cuala, which has 1,600 members and fields 73 teams in football, hurling and camogie, plays a vital role in giving an outlet to so many young people deserves greater support from the Council.
