Proposed Monkstown Ring Road
August 30, 2006 on 9:59 am | In Local, News, Planning, Transport | No Comments“Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council will consider a report of the County Manager on the Monkstown Ring Road at its next meeting on the 11th September.” This was stated by Eugene Regan, Cathaoirleach of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Fine Gael General Election candidate, who in July had requested that the County Manager Owen Keegan review the case for and against this project.
Cllr. Regan stated that “notwithstanding the recent decision of An Board Pleanala in approving this road, in the light of the difficulties which the construction of the Ring Road poses for some residents, it is only fair that that the matter be reviewed prior to the Manger proceeding with the project.”
He added that “the County Manager Owen Keegan has confirmed to me that he will submit a report to the Council in accordance with Section 138(1) of the Local Government Act 2001.
