I strongly disagree with the closure of Sallynoggin Library as proposed by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. This library is well used by the local community and its closure would only add to problems of social exclusion experienced in the area.

The European Commission has today (Friday) confirmed to me that no notification of the NAMA scheme has so far been submitted to the Commission by the Irish Government. This will lead to a further delay in the implementation of NAMA.
